Ilravn - Concept Art

Concept based on Danish mythology and created in Procreate.

The ilravn are drawn to places of bloodshed and war. It is not known where they originate from. They are often confused for normal ravens, which is believed to be why ravens are associated with death in many mythologies. They feed off the flesh of the fallen, and then when they have eaten their fill they scavenge the battlefield, gathering pieces of the slain, broken weaponry, and other debris to construct a Valravn - a soulless warrior filled with the rage and regret of those slaughtered.
